RINA APARTMENTS   Here is a little bit more about our family connections with the Rina project, and why this is a great place to live …

beginnings

Our father Carlo Zaccariotto married our mother Rina in 1948, and came to Australia in 1950. Back in Italy, Zaccariotto men have been builders since the 1700's – an unbroken line spanning three centuries. Carlo's first job in Australia was laying bricks. Within a few years he was able to start his own business (Cazac Constructions).

In the 1950's part of the area that is now the Rina Apartments was the site of our family home – a little brick and fibro cottage with a big back yard in 3 Church Avenue. There was a poultry farm next door, and further along the avenue we could access beautiful wetlands. We have memories of watching the wild ducks, and seeing tadpoles grow into frogs.

Cazac

The Cazac business gradually took over our back yard – and eventually our whole house and adjoining lots. Over the past 50 years the business has expanded from concreting to multi-story development and building projects. Cazac Constructions still has it's head office in Church Avenue today (at No 1) and is the proud builder of the Rina Apartments. See about us.

urban renewal

During the 1960's the remainder of Church Avenue and nearby streets were similarly taken over by industry. Lots of jobs, good for business, but not very beautiful, and nowhere for people to live.

Today the Rina Apartments are part of Botany Council's Mascot Station Precinct, and the area is again becoming a delightful residential community with lots of trees and parks and lovely landscaping. Our parents would have been delighted to see this renewal and re-beautification.

The Rina Apartments provide one, two and three bedroom designs to choose from. If you work in the City, the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, near the Airport, or anywhere around Botany Bay, the location offers short commutes and convenient living. See our interactive map and roll you cursor over the list of nearby facilities and attractions.
